Gouache brushes: short-handled sets made for flat, opaque colour. Gouache goes on thicker than watercolour and dries matt and solid, so you want brushes that lay down an even block of colour and keep a clean edge. Soft synthetic (taklon) flats and filberts do that well, and short handles suit working close at a desk.
