Watercolour Christmas Card Kit
Everything you need to paint your own Christmas cards this year, in one kit.
Handmade cards mean more than anything off the shelf, and watercolour makes them easy. A few loose washes, a painted bauble or a snowy pōhutukawa, and you have a card people keep. Great for a first go at watercolour, and an easy gift for anyone creative.
What's in the kit
- Mont Marte Two Seasons Watercolours 18pc x 12ml: tube paints with good lightfastness and excellent transparency
- Mont Marte Gallery Series Watercolour Brushes 7pc: mixed natural and taklon bristles that hold plenty of water
- Mont Marte Watercolour Pad German Paper A3 180gsm, 15 sheets: acid-free, tape-bound, with painting tips inside the cover
Save $6.98 on buying the items separately ($46.97).
Makes up to 60 cards
Cut each A3 sheet into four and fold each piece in half. That gives you up to 60 A6 cards from one pad, plenty for the whole family list.
Ideas to paint
- Simple baubles and stars with a gold or red wash
- Loose watercolour Christmas trees
- Kiwi summer cards: pōhutukawa, beaches and pavlova
Step-by-step instructions in our guide: Easy Watercolour Christmas Cards.
How it works
- Cut and fold your cards first, then tape the edges down to stop the paper buckling
- Squeeze a little of each colour onto a palette or old plate and wet with your brush
- Paint light colours first and let each layer dry before adding detail
- Peel off the tape once dry and write your message inside
