Four easy designs
Simple baubles
Wet a circle with clean water, drop in red or green and let it bleed. Add a string and a white highlight once dry.
Loose Christmas trees
Quick zigzag strokes of deep green, a darker shade on one side, then dots of red and gold.
Snowy night
Blend dark blue and purple across the top, leave white snow below, flick on white dots for falling snow.
Kiwi summer Christmas
Pōhutukawa flowers, a beach with a Santa hat on a jandal, or a pavlova with strawberries and kiwifruit.
Card set-up: cut each A3 sheet into four, fold each piece into an A6 card, and tape the front down on all sides before painting so it stays flat. Step-by-step tips in our watercolour Christmas cards guide.
