FAQ
Drying time?
Touch-dry 1–3 days (thin) / 3–7 days (moderate). Fully cured at 6–12 months. Allow longer in cold, damp weather.
Fat over lean rule?
Each layer must have more oil than the one below. Otherwise the painting cracks within a year. Start lean (thin paint + tiny medium), build with more oil.
Solvents?
Yes, odourless mineral spirits for thinning and cleaning brushes, then wash with brush soap. For water cleanup look at our Mont Marte H2O Oil range.
