Discovery Watercolour Book A4 (8.3 x 11.7in) 30 Sheets 190gsm

An A4 watercolour book for learning and trying techniques, at a student price.

This Discovery book has 30 sheets of 190gsm acid-free watercolour paper with a heavyweight backing card. To be honest about the weight, 190gsm is a light watercolour paper. It's fine for light washes, small studies, colour swatches and practising techniques like wet-on-dry and dry brush. If you flood the page with water, it will buckle.

Tips

• Tape the edges down with masking tape before you paint, to keep the sheet flatter as it dries.
• Use less water than you think, and build colour up in layers.
• For heavy wet-in-wet work, or paintings you want to frame, step up to a heavier paper from our watercolour papers.
