How many coats over a dark surface?
Yellow is the most transparent of all bright colours. Plan 3 coats over dark: or prime with Gloss White first (then yellow needs only 2 coats).
Will it fade in sun?
It depends on how much sun and weather the piece gets. For anything outdoors, finish with a Gloss Clear topcoat to help protect the colour.
