25 sheets of imitation gold leaf for gilding frames, paintings, sculpture and craft.

Imitation gold leaf gives you the look of gilding without the price of real gold. It can be applied to paintings, sculpture, leather goods, metalwork, glass and picture frames, anywhere you can brush on leafing size.

How to apply it

1. Brush a thin, even coat of Leafing Size over the area you want gilded.
2. Wait until the size is tacky to the touch. Check the bottle for the waiting time.
3. Lay the leaf on with dry hands or a soft brush. It's very thin and will tear, and that's fine. Small gaps and breaks look good in gilding.
4. Burnish gently with a soft brush or cotton wool to press it down, then brush away the loose flakes.
5. Seal it with varnish if the piece will be handled, to help stop the leaf tarnishing.
