Mont Marte Studio Artist Brushes 12pc Flat: a hog bristle flat brush set in sizes 1 to 12. Hog bristle is stiff and springy, so it pushes thick acrylic and oil paint around instead of collapsing under it. That makes these good for blocking in, laying down body colour and textured brushwork on canvas.

Use with: oil, acrylic, poster and watercolour paint. Hog bristle shines with thicker paint; for fine watercolour work a soft brush is easier.

Care: don't let paint dry in the bristles. Wipe off as much as you can with a paper towel, then rinse in water for acrylic, poster and watercolour, or in turps followed by brush cleaner or soapy water for oils.
