Acrylic paint brushes, 62 options across sets, singles, and detail brushes for the work the others miss.

Synthetic taklon hair built specifically for acrylic paint. Holds a point through repeated rinsing, springs back to shape, and won't fray the way natural bristle does in water-based paint. No solvent needed. Ships from Morningside, Auckland with free NZ shipping over $75.

Pick by shape, not by handle colour

• Flat + round: your everyday workhorses
• Filbert: soft-edged flats for blending
• Angle: for crisp edges and corners

• Detail + liner: for outlines, lettering, eyelashes, signatures

Mont Marte ranges we stock

• Signature taklon sets: student-grade, the everyday choice for most painters
• Gallery Series taklon: heavier ferrule, longer handle, the step-up for serious work
• Chungking bristle: for when you want a bit of brush texture in your acrylic strokes
• Mini detail brushes: for the small work no other brush can do

Honest answer if you're starting

Grab a 4-piece or 6-piece Signature taklon wallet set. Round + flat + filbert + detail covers 90% of beginner acrylic painting. Step up to Gallery Series only after the cheap brushes are visibly wearing.

Brush care for acrylics

Warm soapy water while still wet. Reshape the head. Lay flat or hang to dry. Never leave brushes head-down in the water: bends bristles permanently and ruins them in a week.
