How a pour works
- Prime a canvas (or use a stretched canvas — both work)
- Mix your colours in cups
- Pour over the canvas — tilt to spread, let gravity do its thing
- Add a drop of silicone oil for the cell-pop effect
- Walk away for 24 hours. Don't fuss with it.
Honest answer if you're new
Pour painting is hugely satisfying but takes patience. Your first pour might be muddy — that's normal. By pour 3, you'll have started to read how the colours move. Lay an old sheet down, accept that the first few will be experiments, and enjoy the process.

What canvas should I use?
Pre-primed stretched canvas works perfectly. Start with smaller sizes (20×25cm) — they're cheaper to experiment on and the paint goes further.
How much paint does each pour need?
About a teaspoon per canvas of each colour, plus pouring medium. The kit gives you 4–6 small pours.
What's the silicone oil for?
Creates the cell-pop effect — colours separate into bubble-like patterns. Use sparingly (a drop or two).
